Vetoberfest Returns to Anderson Snow Park on Oct. 3 With Food Trucks and Veteran Resources

Hernando County Veteran Services and Vetfest will host the annual Vetoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Anderson Snow Park, 1440 Anderson Snow Road in Spring Hill. The event is free and open to the public, and county officials are billing it as a family-friendly way to spend a fall afternoon while connecting local veterans, first responders and their families with the services meant to support them.

The county announced the event through its official news page on Sept. 15. Plans call for a family fun zone, food trucks, local vendors and live entertainment running through the evening. Organizers say attendees can also stop by tables staffed by local organizations to learn about programs and services available to veterans, first responders and their families, a piece of the event that has become a fixture of Vetoberfest in past years.

Anderson Snow Park is one of the larger county-run recreation sites in Spring Hill, with open fields and pavilion space that make it a natural fit for an event running seven hours end to end. A seven-hour window means the crowd will likely shift through the day, from families arriving in the afternoon heat to an evening audience drawn in by the live entertainment as temperatures drop.

Hernando County Veteran Services says the goal is simple: get people talking to the organizations that can actually help them, in a setting that doesn't feel like an office visit. Anyone with questions ahead of the event can call Veteran Services at (352) 754-4033.
